Moderation Executive

Fanalysis - powered by passion

We’re building the go-to app for real football fans - a central home where trusted and passionate supporters can share their voices, insights, and emotions with clarity, cutting through punditry and the noise of fragmented social media

Founded by Michael McIntyre and Gary Neville, we’re already partnering with Sky Sports to amplify the perspectives of those who live and breathe the game, bringing authentic fan opinion to millions of viewers.

Having closed our seed round with personal backing from some of the world’s most exceptional venture investors, we’re now focused on building the team, app, and data platform that will power Fanalysis.

This is a thrilling opportunity to join our founding team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of fan-powered football media.

The Role

We’re looking for a Moderation Executive to help keep the conversation on Fanalysis smart, respectful, and fan-first. You’ll be part of the team responsible for making sure our platform is a space where fans can be passionate without things turning toxic. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be reviewing user-generated content: comments, ratings, posts, and making fair, fast calls on what stays and what goes.

You’ll also help shape how we talk to users about our rules, support community growth, and keep our moderation tone firm but fair, the kind of ref everyone actually respects.

Responsibilities

  • Review fanalyst content to ensure it meets community guidelines

  • Flag or remove abusive, harmful, or inappropriate posts using internal tools and guidelines

  • Respond to reported content and help users understand the boundaries of the platform

  • Keep an eye on trends and hotspots across clubs to spot issues before they escalate

  • Support with drafting and updating moderation rules and community guidelines

  • Work with the product and community teams to improve the fan experience

  • Maintain a balance between free expression and safety - we’re passionate, not poisonous

  • Contribute to a respectful, welcoming environment for fans of all backgrounds

About you

  • Ideally you’ve got some experience in online moderation, community management or customer support

  • You’re passionate and knowledgeable about football and football culture and you know how quickly banter can turn into abuse

  • You’re calm under pressure and confident making judgement calls in grey areas

  • You’re comfortable using basic content management or moderation tools

  • You’re a clear communicator and can follow tone of voice guidelines to be a respectful voice of Fanalysis

  • You have a strong sense of fairness, empathy, and good instincts

  • Bonus if you’ve used AI or automation tools to support content moderation workflows

  • You’ll need to be flexible and occasionally available on evenings and weekends - football doesn’t stick to a 9–5, and neither do the fans.

We work a 40 hour week and your time will be split between the office in Soho and working from home. Some games that you’ll moderate will be in the evenings/weekends so flexibility is key.
