Sony Europe have an incredible opportunity for a Japanese speaking individual to join our HR team as a Mobility Specialist. As most of our international assignees are from Japan, it’s critical that the incumbent of this position is fluent in Japanese.

If you’ve worked within Mobility, HR or a role where it’s essential to have a ‘customer focused’ lens on, we’d love to hear from you so we can talk to you about how you’ll become part of an incredible team to deliver excellent global mobility experience for Long Term Assignees (LTA), Short Term Assignees (STA), Permanent Transfers (PT) and Commuters in Europe across multiple Sony entities.

What will you do?

  • Manage the assignment life cycle for our International Assignees (mainly long-term assignees from Japan)
  • Ensure that new assignees received all the information and support required to transition quickly into their new position
  • Be responsible for smooth repatriation/transfer to new location at the end of the assignment
  • Support in creating mobility related reports for HQ and responding to HQ data requests regarding International Assignees
  • Respond to day-to-day mobility queries and providing necessary support to resolve issues
  • Be responsible for the operational aspects of mobility such as; drafting official assignment & bonus letters, maintenance of key reports & databases & supporting on educational assistance applications
  • Support the annual salary review of International Assignees, liaising with host/home line managers, Group HR & top-level management to determine appropriate increases
  • Manage the annual review of the housing allowance for all International Assignees hosted in Europe, analysing specialist data and company affordability to determine proposals for approval
  • Work closely with with Payroll, Local HR, HR Service Delivery team and our external tax provider to ensure that all mobility service is properly delivered
  • Collaborate with the Tokyo HR team to confirm assignment period & the new assignees onboarding plan

You will bring:

  • Fluent Japanese language skills are essential to be successful in this role
  • Previous working experience within a Mobility team would be preferred
  • Working experience within a HR environment or customer facing position is essential
  • An enthusiastic & customer-focused approach
  • The ability to manage & prioritise a busy workload
  • An appetite to learn & develop at pace
