The role:

Reporting to the Senior Editorial Manager, as part of the Editorial arm of the Creative team, you will be responsible for writing engaging on-brand copy for global marketing materials across both digital and print. This includes emails, social media, editorial stories, film, product copy, website content pages, brochures, press releases, event invitations, point of sale and packaging assets. This role will also support the Senior Manager in the creation of brand-building, creative campaign copy, ensuring a clear messaging hierarchy and consistency, as well as proofreading copy supplied by both internal stakeholders and third party partners to ensure that it adheres to house style. You will be responsible for managing the Junior Copywriter, proofreading their work and developing their writing and editing skills. The role sits in the Editorial team, within the wider Creative team.

What you will do:

  • Working alongside the Senior Editor, produce headline and supporting copy for in-store POS for our campaigns, ensuring that they answer the commercial brief while also building a strong narrative story which reflects the luxury positioning of the brand.
  • Produce copy for digital and print marketing materials which is persuasive, on-brand and adheres to tone of voice and all copy guidelines.
  • Proofread copy supplied by internal stakeholders as well as third party partners to ensure that it reflects the luxury positioning of the brand and adheres to all copy guidelines. Feedback changes in a way that clearly explains the amends made.
  • Work with the Editor to maintain all copy guidelines so that they remain relevant, accurate and appeal to our audience.

What you will need:

  • The successful candidate will have excellent writing and copy editing skills, and be educated to Degree level. Preferred degrees include English Literature or Journalism.
  • Similar midweight experience of at least 2-3 years, working at a luxury retail/commerce brand or agency (beauty/fragrance experience is a bonus) writing marketing copy across a range of touchpoints. An innate understanding of and background in social media platforms is preferrable.
  • An incredibly organised, collaborative and proactive writer with meticulous attention to detail and quality, and a brilliant communicator. Excellent time management is a must – being flexible and able to prioritise workload.
  • A natural creativity and ability to generate original, impactful content.
  • Experience in using a range of content management systems, SEO and conversion-driving communications. Show a strong understanding of using ChatGPT prompts to maximise time and efficiency and knowledge of A/B testing for marketing copy effectiveness.
  • A genuine passion for fragrance, skincare and beauty, staying abreast of market trends, industry innovations, product launches etc., and feed ideas, with a POV, back to the wider Editorial, Creative and Digital teams.
