The Middle Unity Game Engineer will engage in the full game development lifecycle from concept to release, optimizing game mechanics and collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities include coding, debugging, and improving game performance across platforms while supporting technical input during design reviews.
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mid-Level Unity Game Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing engaging and immersive games, contributing across all stages of the game development lifecycle – from initial concept to release and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the entire game development lifecycle: conceptualization, prototyping, production, testing, and live game support (including LiveOps and ongoing updates).
- Implement and optimize game mechanics, systems, and features using the Unity engine.
- Maintain high-quality code through best practices, including code reviews, debugging, and optimization.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to translate ideas into functional gameplay.
- Provide technical input during design reviews and feature planning while conducting code reviews to enhance performance.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges such as performance bottlenecks and bugs across platforms (PC and mobile).
- Optimize assets and code for multi-platform performance.
- Develop and maintain tools to enhance team workflow and productivity.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in Unity game development.
- Demonstrated experience working on at least one complete game development lifecycle, from concept to release.
- Proficient in Unity and C# programming, areas including (but not limited):
o Networking concepts, multiplayer mechanics, and real-time data synchronization.
o Managing and optimizing game assets, such as 3D models, textures, and audio files.
o Enhancing game performance through techniques like reducing frame
drops, memory management, and asset optimization. - Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fully-remote, fast-paced, iterative and incremental development environment.
