Job Description

SS&C Technologies seek an experienced trade support individual, to be located on our trading desk in London. You will have extensive experience working on a trading desk alongside traders. We require an individual with a keen eye for detail, and a full appreciation of the risks involved in post trade processes, whereby timely resolution of pre-settlement issues is essential given the growing regulatory rules and regulations in the post trade ecosystem. Client satisfaction is an absolute priority in our trading team, and a core pillar in our branding. Responsibilities

  • Be the main contact for incoming queries from clients with trade booking queries.
  • Face off against all our street-side counterparties to solve all checking queries.
  • Maintain all client commission, and street brokerage tables in the middle office layer in our OMS
  • Manage client confirmations within the middle office layer in our OMS
  • Ensure all FIX/XML trading files are dropped successfully for all trading time zones.
  • Ensure above files match with trade counts on the OMS
  • Be the central point of contact with our settlements department
  • Solve any mismatches by working with our trading team, and amend bookings as required
  • Add new clients and counterparties to our systems and assist with FIX line certifications.
  • Be responsible for our trade reporting, working with TradEcho to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with transaction reporting teams to ensure daily files are sent and consumed.
  • Restricted securities management in the OMS
  • Contract input using our in-house systems, booking splits or aggregated bookings
  • Ensure OMS new releases are successful

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same role, on a sell side trading desk
  • Strong knowledge of all trading methods, including DMA and OTC trade bookings.
  • Full understanding of buy-in rules, and idiosyncrasies of each country we trade in.
  • Full understanding of protocols for all settlement locations, and in particular the ETF market.
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally as a trusted and reliable individual.
  • To ‘own’ problems and seek absolute closure for any client issues.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
