The Media Strategy Lead acts as a strategic advisor for paid advertising campaigns across all channels. This role collaborates with campaign managers to translate objectives and audience insights into actionable media strategies and briefs for our media agency. The planner ensures optimal channel mix, creative formats, and alignment with Cytiva’s brand objectives while serving as the key liaison between internal teams and the media agency. 

 

This position reports to the Director Advertising and is part of the Global Brand team and will be an on-site role.   

 

What you will do: 

  • Partner with campaign managers to understand objectives, audiences, and KPIs. 

  • Recommend channel mix, audience segmentation, and budget allocation across paid media channels (social, programmatic, publishers, and others) to maximize campaign impact. 

  • Collaborate on media brief development and ensure clarity for agency execution. 

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and the media agency, ensuring smooth communication and timely delivery of assets and approvals. 

  • Review campaign performance reports with the Advertising Analyst, monitor results, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders for future optimization. 

 

Who you are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Multiple years of experience in media planning, advertising, or digital marketing, preferably in B2B or life sciences. 

  • Proven experience working with or in media agencies, managing communication and execution processes. 

  • Strong understanding of paid media channels (social, programmatic, publishers, and others) at a strategic level. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in global or matrixed environments. 

 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role 

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for agency or team meetings. 

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

  • Familiarity with emerging B2B social platforms and ad formats. 

  • Appreciation for data governance and compliance in advertising. 

  • Familiarity with ad tech platforms (DSPs, analytics tools) and emerging technologies in paid media. 

The annual salary range for this role is £50,000 - £70,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
