Job Description

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager to join our Media Rights & Partnerships team. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the distribution of Sportradar's premium media rights portfolio to broadcasters, streaming services, and digital media platforms across Europe and beyond.
You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and supporting rights acquisition activities with sports federations, leagues, and rights holders

 

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Drive media rights sales across European markets, with responsibility for achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify new opportunities and grow existing partnerships.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, generating new leads across broadcasters, OTT platforms, and digital media companies.
  • Lead client engagements, presentations, pitches, and commercial negotiations from initial contact through to contract execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with broadcasters, media organizations, sports federations, leagues, and rights holders.
  • Support the acquisition and management of sports media rights, contributing to the continued growth of Sportradar's rights portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with internal product, content, and commercial teams to ensure market requirements are reflected in product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities and inform business decisions.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or commercial partnerships within sports media rights, broadcasting, sports technology, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the global sports media ecosystem, including rights acquisition, licensing structures, and distribution models.
  • Established network within the sports, media, broadcasting, or digital content sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business opportunities and closing complex commercial deals.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, international environment.
  • Solid understanding of the evolving media landscape, including digital and streaming platforms.
  • Fluent English language skills; additional European languages are highly desirable.
