We’re hiring for a Media Operations Development Director to join the team in London.

Purpose of the Role

This newly created role will sit as part of the central Media operations teams at dentsu, working within a project team focused on the enterprise transformation of dentsu media’s operating model (Process, workflows, platforms) through adoption of AI and automated led efficiencies. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of media operations within dentsu sitting at the intersection of media, technology, and AI capabilities.

As Media Operations Development Director you’ll be part of the operations project team directly  supporting two of iProspect’s largest retail clients NEXT & Pandora.  Working alongside media planning and channel activation teams for these clients you’ll identify areas where process improvement, tech & AI could impact the effectiveness of client activity and eliminate inefficiencies dentsu & client side that significantly reduce SLAs and enable faster activation. Working in tandem with dentsu Operations, Tech Solutions and Pandora/Next client leadership teams, you’ll develop the client roadmap identifying solutions that can be; activated immediately using tech that already exists e.g. project managing a dashboarding project, projects already in development, fail-safe alerts for budget issues, as well as bigger more complex challenges that will require multiple layers of tech innovation & longer timescales e.g. custom AI Agent or automation build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of inefficiency across internal and client teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across planning, channel specialists, media solutions, technology & AI to understand potential impact of automation and to ensure smooth technology adoption and integration.
  • Creation and ownership of a solutions roadmap with clear prioritization of opportunities against business impact and ease of implementation.
  • Project manage the development and implementation of technology solutions to streamline media operations.
  • Monitor emerging ad tech trends and automation tools to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Be the main point of contact for internal stakeholders on technology-related project execution.
  • Engage clients to achieve this, when needed

Qualifications + Skills

  • Proven experience in a digital media activation or operations role within a media agency or digital marketing environment with hands on experience in ad tech or marketing technology.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading technology implementations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate technical concepts to senior stakeholders and non-technical teams.
  • Innovation mindset with a track record of driving tech-led process improvements, particularly using AI and automation.
  • Experience of process improvement techniques such as Six Sigma would be an advantage.
  • This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management and strategic thinking skills, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about operational efficiency, media performance and AI/automation innovation.
