JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead Unilever Myanmar’s media strategy with a digital-first, social-led approach, ensuring brand visibility and engagement in a rapidly evolving media landscape. Drive innovation, optimize investments, and navigate local media policies while strengthening media relationships and PR presence.

Key Responsibilities

Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute integrated media strategies prioritizing social platforms and digital channels.
  • Balance brand-building and performance marketing objectives across paid, owned, and earned media.
Digital & Social Leadership
  • Champion social-first campaigns leveraging Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making using analytics and consumer insights.​
Agency & Partner Management
  • Manage media agencies and negotiate competitive rates.
  • Build strong partnerships with local publishers and influencers.
Compliance & Policy Navigation
  • Stay ahead of Myanmar’s media regulations and censorship policies.
  • Ensure all campaigns comply with legal and ethical standards.
Events & PR Management (New)
  • Plan and manage media invitations for brand events and activations.
  • Craft PR talking points and press kits aligned with brand messaging.
  • Host and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media representatives to ensure positive coverage.
Innovation & Capability Building
  • Introduce new formats (social commerce, live streaming, connected TV).
  • Upskill internal teams on digital media trends and tools.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 7+ years in media/digital marketing, preferably in FMCG or agency environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Myanmar’s media ecosystem and regulatory landscape.
  • Expertise in social media strategy, programmatic buying, and performance marketing.
  • Experience in event management and PR communications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
