Position Summary

We are looking for skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering for Services Technical Documentation & Repair (Controls) team to deliver high impact engineering solutions that keep the global fleet flying safely and efficiently.

In this role, you will analyse a wide variety of Engine Controls Products and mechanical subsystems, finding innovative ways to restore performance, reduce waste, and extend component life. You will sit at the heart of our operations, collaborating directly with maintenance specialists, materials scientists, and airworthiness authorities to turn technical insights into approved, flight-ready repair solutions.

What you will be doing

  • Identify and design new, cost-effective repair and re-use strategies alongside our global partners.

  • Define rigorous engineering validation requirements for complex component repairs, ensuring compliance with strict airworthiness regulations.

  • Plan, integrate, and deliver repair development projects from initial cost opportunity identification and failure analysis to final implementation.

  • Continuously improve maintenance repair methods to reduce turnaround times.

  • Review external control systems vendor repairs, feedback critical engineering amendments, and formally accept Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).

Position qualifications

  • A proven track record of managing and delivering technical or design projects on time.

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering discipline would be preferable but candidates who can demonstrate relevant skills would also be considered.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and interface confidently with global operators and regulatory stakeholders.

  • Highly proficient technical writing skills to document compliant, precise instructions and technical justifications.

  • Desirable: Familiarity with engine control units, actuators, pumps, valves, or associated aerospace subsystems.

  • Desirable: Familiarity with aerospace regulatory frameworks (EASA/FAA Part 145 or Part 21J/G environment)

  • Desirable: Experience in design engineering/definition and production method verification.
