Mechanical & Electrical Engineer DW (Permanent) AH
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heating and ventilation (H&V) systems, including pumps, motors, and actuators.
- Conduct daily checks of boiler rooms and plant equipment.
- Maintain commercial kitchen equipment and plant.
- Perform installation, fault-finding, and maintenance on low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults, repair, or replace defective equipment.
- Manage stock and source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
- Oversee contractor work.
- Provide technical support to colleagues and assist other staff members.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and complete work to the highest standard.
- Adhere to confidentiality requirements and company health and safety policies.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absences.
- Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
- BEng or Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Recognized C&G or NVQ qualifications.
- Knowledge of current Building Regulations and Health and Safety standards.
- Technical expertise in building or facilities maintenance.
- Strong numerical ability for calculations and measurements.
- Proven experience in a related field.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
