The Test and Measurement Department designs and provides the global pressure business with custom equipment. Examples include pressure test installations, test looms, and electrical test interface assemblies.

As one of our Mechanical Design Engineers you will be responsible for designing test equipment within Druck's Test and Measurement Department.
 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and delivering numerous ancillary equipment projects using a lean approach. Enabling engineering drawings of a high and consistent standard with minimal engineering effort.

  • Supporting the design of Test Systems alongside a diverse engineering team. Ensuring designs comply with all the necessary standards and safety requirements.

  • Being fully engaged with all aspects of projects from concept design through to construction & Testing.

  • Managing projects and Bills of Materials to meet customer expectations and deliveries.

  • Developing and maintaining good technical relationships with our external suppliers.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Design qualifications or equivalent experience.

  • Able to demonstrate exceptional 2D & 3D CAD package experience, ideally SolidWorks.

  • Have a proven track record of applying innovation and creativity to new solutions that fit the business needs.

  • Demonstrate development of robust and lean processes.

  • Be comfortable working in an environment with high expectations for quality, on-time delivery, and deadlines.

  • Be able to produce high quality mechanical drawings that enable parts to be manufacturable and comply with company standards and processes.

  • Have a high level of attention to detail.

  • Have basic electronics design and testing knowledge.

  • Able to maintain good relationships, be skilled in problem solving with an exceptional initiative and be adaptable in a dynamic environment.

  • Have a valid British passport or already have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Have proficient test equipment knowledge within the Test and Measurement environment.

  • Be familiar and have experience using a PLM software to manage CAD and drawing release.

  • Have hands on workshop-based skills and experience.

  • Be familiar with Pneumatic and Hydraulic pressure systems.
