As a Measurements Technical Manager at Sesia Global, you will enjoy a dual-focus role: 50% project engineering and 50% technical management. This unique position offers you the chance to drive engineering projects and manage a talented team, ensuring excellence in our Liquid and Gas Metering, Sampling, and Blending Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Project engineer:
- Work to company procedures and work instructions for the supply of Custom Designed Skid based Systems (Projects) engineered out of the Tunbridge Wells facility.
- Manage any allocated contract from initiation to completion. Development and verification of designs to provide the lowest cost solution, meeting agreed specifications and applicable standards.
- Generate technical requisitions to ensure that individual components of the system meet the demands of the agreed specifications and performance within that system.
- Generate sub vendor scope bid & Procurement packages for fabrication, Instrumentation, assembly and testing as required.
- Ensure adequate hand over to the commissioning engineers to ensure that the system as installed on site performs as required.
- Work with the Sensia Quality team to provide technical input to the Inspection and Test Plan.
- Support the sales team to provide design and technical expertise and ensure accurate proposals, control expenditures within limitations of project budget.
As a Technical Manager:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Project Engineers and Design Engineers providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify training requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Input into bids and proposals.
- Participate in Win strategy calls.
- Attend kick off meetings.
The Individual
- Degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field experience.
- Ability to work as a team member and manager.
- Possess key decision-making skills and an ability to effectively communicate information to both internal and external customers.
- Prior experience of project engineering skid mounted electro-mechanical systems for the oil & gas industry.
- Previous experience with one of the following system types: metering, sampling, or blending systems.
- Ability to select and size optimal flow metering technologies.
- Familiarity with ASME design codes (B31.3:2016, ASME IX) and equivalents (NORSOK, ISO).
- Knowledge of Electrical equipment certified (ATEX or IECEX)
- Familiar with and Electrical installation ( BS 7671:2018) and instrumentation installation (BS 6739:2009).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
- Knowledge of mechanical CAD package such as Autodesk Inventor or Plant 3D.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
