Billigence is a boutique data consultancy with global reach, helping organisations transform the way they work with data. We specialise in delivering high-impact data solutions across Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Governance, Cloud Data Platforms, and Advanced Analytics. Headquartered in Sydney with offices across the UK, Europe, and APAC, Billigence partners with organisations to design and implement modern data platforms that drive better decision-making and business outcomes. Our teams work on complex, enterprise-scale data programmes across a variety of industries including retail, financial services, and technology.

About the role:

Billigence is currently supporting a leading UK retail client on a large-scale Master Data Management (MDM) transformation programme. As the programme continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced MDM Business Analyst to join the team on a contract basis.

This role will play a key part in helping define and deliver the client’s MDM capabilities, improving data quality and governance across key master data domains such as product, supplier, and customer data.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, architects, and engineers to translate business requirements into scalable MDM solutions as part of a wider enterprise data strategy.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather and document MDM and data governance requirements
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define master data standards, ownership, and stewardship
  • Analyse and document data flows, data models, and master data domains
  • Support the design and implementation of MDM processes and governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and governance teams to support solution delivery
  • Contribute to data quality initiatives, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring
  • Help define MDM operating models, policies, and best practices
  • Support the delivery of enterprise data transformation initiatives

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on MDM or Data Governance programmes
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts such as golden record, hierarchies, stewardship, and master data domains
  • Experience working on enterprise-scale data transformation projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
  • Experience collaborating with data engineers, architects, and governance teams
  • Experience with MDM tools, data platforms, or governance frameworks is highly desirable
