Job Description

Our International MBA Case Competition is organized annually by Roland Berger and IESE Business School in Barcelona since 1995, making the upcoming event the 30th anniversary!

Over the years, this global competition has attracted top MBA programs from around the world and has become one of the most prominent events of its kind. It offers a unique opportunity to compete against your peers from across the globe while networking with fellow students and Roland Berger professionals from various international offices.

During the competition, you will tackle a current business challenge and present your solutions to a distinguished panel of business leaders. You will receive guidance from experienced consultants at Roland Berger, who will provide valuable insights on developing your analysis and crafting a compelling presentation. The event also includes several networking opportunities to enhance your professional connections.

In addition to the intellectual challenges and networking benefits, the competition provides a chance to explore one of Europe’s most captivating cities, known for its warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere. The agenda will include time for sightseeing and traditional dinners, allowing you to fully experience the charm of beautiful Barcelona.

Finally, the winning team will receive an exclusive Meet & Greet with a member of Roland Berger’s Senior Management in the region of your Business School, adding to the excitement of this event.

Qualifications

  1. Assemble Your Dream Team: We invite you to form a diverse team to represent LBS at the competition. Your team should consist of four (4) first-year MBA students, ensuring a blend of at least three different nationalities as well as different languages and genders. Diversity is key!
  2. Apply Individually: Each team member must apply to this event posting individually by Sunday, November 10, 2024. Please complete all required fields, upload your CV, and provide your team’s name on the second page of the application (after clicking “Next”) so we can properly allocate you to your team.
  3. Submit Team Introduction Videos: Please also submit a brief team introduction via our Online Video Tool (click to log in) by Sunday, November 10, 2024. On Thursday, November 21, these teams will receive a Roland Berger case to work on and must submit their solutions by Wednesday, November 27. They will then present their case in front of a Roland Berger jury during the internal pre-selection round at LBS on Thursday, November 28.
  5. Announcement of the LBS Winning Team: Directly after the on-campus team presentations, the jury will select the final team that will represent LBS at the MBA Case Competition in February 2025 in Barcelona and will announce it during the networking reception!
