THE ROLE: 
We are looking for an individual who can work as a Match Lead. Overall, this role will run games across football and basketball, working with Genius IQ technology under Genius Sports. Working to ensure the timely and successful delivery of tracking and event data. The match lead will assist the game operations team to deliver on these duties.


THEN

  • Perform pre-game checks and software initialisation for accurate match tracking
  • Watch football matches to track/confirm software tracking of dead-balls, stoppage time, and other similar events
  • Correctly identify and confirm teams, lineups, and players, as well as tracking markings on players
  • Attentiveness during live ball situations
    Complete post-game quality assurance checks for accurate delivery of post game files
  • Communicate with your Manager if issues arise
  • Participate in post-game meetings to provide feedback
  • Be able to complete marking tasks that will improve the accuracy and design of our system
  • Lead a group of Operators to run and monitor all tasks on 1-2 football games per shift
  • Communicate and work with Team Lead to dissect availability each week.
  • Be able to work according to the football schedule which includes holidays, holiday periods, evenings and weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Being responsible or training others, would be highly desirable
  • Experience writing up reports, gathering information summarizing it, and presenting it
  • Experience with Google or Microsoft suite, especially in Excel or Google spreadsheets
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to focus on a game while in a sometimes loud and potentially distracting environment
  • Extremely punctual, many shifts will start near the game start time
  • A passion for football
  • Ability to effectively communicate, sometimes under pressure, to the Operations Managers and give detailed explanations of what is occurring during football games
  • Team player who is adaptable to change
  • Knowledge and experience with definitional sports terms and markings.
  • Prior experience collaborating live with remote colleagues.
  • Understanding of the current landscape and recent past of major professional sports leagues.
  • Proactivity and confidence are a must.
  • Self-accountable for discretion considering the delicate nature of the business content.
