We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to support the expansion of the UNIQLO business in Spain. The person in this role will contribute to the development and the execution of the marketing strategy for UNIQLO in Spain, including promoting the UNIQLO brand and our LifeWear concept in accordance with the EU marketing plan and the global marketing direction. 

You will be based in our office in Barcelona and report to the Country Marketing Manager.  

What you will be responsible for

  • Building and executing the marketing strategy for UNIQLO Spain together with Brand Marketing team.

  • Providing strategic support in the seasonal marketing plan and long-term activations, managing strategic projects aligned with company’s objectives.

  • Planning, coordinating and executing various marketing events (store opening events, customer in-store activations, sustainability events, influencer events,…) in close collaboration with the Bran Marketing team and stores.

  • Managing the marketing budget, ensuring the proper allocation of resources and optimizing the ROI of investments.

  • Conducting a detailed analysis of campaigns, track sales and create weekly MK/PR reports to help adjust strategies.

  • Taking ownership of the creation of offline media plans (OOH, leaflets, magazines, print ads, etc) including leading the creative and production agencies.

  • Identifying and developing strategic local partnerships in Barcelona (local businesses, artists, brands etc.) to support campaigns, Re Uniqlo studio, UTme! and grow regional brand awareness.

  • Retail marketing and being the main point of contact for UNIQLO Spain stores in Barcelona.

  • Building cross functional collaboration with EU functions, especially digital marketing, other EU countries and GHQ marketing teams.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in marketing, in consumer lifestyle or fashion apparel brands, either in-house or agency

  • retail/fashion would be a plus

  • Experience working in or with international brands

  • Experience across traditional and new media

  • Experience working with influencers

  • Affinity with sustainability is a plus

  • Have worked in retail environment in Barcelona is a plus

  • Good project manager with attention to detail   

  • Excellent planner, very deadline oriented and ability to work flexible in fast-moving work environment.

  • Strong team player that loves collaboration and cross functional work

  • Strong writing and creative skills with the ability of finding new ways to connect and express brand values and characteristics. 

  • Ability to read sales data and google analytics and draw conclusions/write summaries.

  • A self-starter, able to work both independently and in collaboration with other functions to achieve the company’s goals.

  • Digital competences with a good understanding of the relevant social media channels established and upcoming.

  • Committed to integrity and respect for others.

  • Eager to learn and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a must, Catalan a huge plus, any other EU languages helpful.
