Use your analytical approach to support the Retail Marketing Team to deliver truly impactful campaigns which are targeted towards a broad range of shoppers!

Core Responsibilities

This role manages the day to day investment tracking processes within the Retail Experience & Marketing team within LEGO Retail. The role supports the Marketing Planning and Performance Director and Senior Manager in delivering strategic commercial and marketing plans with budget recommendations based on data and insights. The responsibilities include:

Marketing budget management

  • Ensure the marketing budget is in line with defined annual commercial plan and priorities

  • Manage day to day investment tracking and submission cycles including month end close (MEC), marketing planning (MP) submissions & process changes.

  • Partner with Finance to ensure day to day budget processes and submissions are delivered

  • Partner with marketing budget owners across LEGO Retail to ensure budget is properly managed and tracked in relevant tools. Ensure actualisation of campaigns budgets

  • Provide updates to senior leadership

Investment planning

  • Support the budget planning and management process for in year/Y+1 (ICP), aligning marketing budget allocation with annual commercial plan priorities

  • Support management of the marketing innovation pot

  • Partner with central Marketing functions to drive increased investment integration across the wider LEGO Group business and provide a LEGO Retail point of view on centralized tools and processes

Marketing effectiveness

  • Support the marketing effectiveness omni-channel agenda ensuing continuous optimization of the full funnel marketing mix according to business needs

  • Provide input into key milestones/initiatives throughout the year including MG Reviews, Contribution Model/MMM, Gap-to-Target etc

  • Support team with campaign evaluation, measuring the success of marketing efforts

  • Own ad-hoc strategic projects

This role sits in the Retail Experiences & Marketing (REM) function of the LEGO Retail organisation. LEGO Retail is the owned and operated retail arm of the LEGO Group, responsible for LEGO Brand Retail Stores (LBR) and LEGO.com. This role reports to the Director, Marketing Planning and Performance and sits in the Global Retail Marketing function. It works closely with all Marketing teams across LEGO Retail including Go-To-Market, Regional teams, Visual Merchandising and Retail Experiences.

This role will represent LEGO Retail within the wider LEGO Group Markets & Channels Central Marketing team.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for a candidate with solid experience in marketing and commercial planning, who can effectively coordinate and support budget preparation while managing marketing planning data in an analyst role. The ideal candidate has the ability to process and interpret large data sets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting. A highly collaborative team player with strong communication skills in English, they bring positive energy, a can-do attitude, and a passion for marketing. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to navigate complex planning processes while working closely with stakeholders. While a background in finance, accounting, or economics can be beneficial, it is not a requirement for this role.
