The Role:

The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of SMP Group plc by strengthening the positioning, promotion and performance of its products and services to retailers and brands. The role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance market visibility, improve internal and external communication, and deliver measurable returns on marketing investment.

This position requires a balanced approach across traditional and digital marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on data driven decision making, commercial impact and continuous improvement.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement a clear, commercially focused marketing strategy aligned with SMP Group’s business growth objectives.
  • Support the development and launch of new products and services, ensuring compelling value propositions for retailers and brand partners.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to translate business priorities into effective marketing plans and campaigns.

 Brand, Product & Service Promotion

  • Strengthen the Group service proposition across all relevant customer touchpoints.
  • Create and manage integrated marketing campaigns to promote products and services to retailers and brands.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging, tone of voice and brand standards across all channels.

 Communication (Internal & External)

  • Improve internal communication to ensure teams are aligned, informed and engaged with marketing initiatives, product developments and company priorities.
  •  Manage external communications including website content, sales collateral, presentations, case studies, PR activity and trade marketing materials.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between sales, operations and external partners to ensure clear and effective communication.

Digital & Traditional Marketing Channels

  • Manage and optimise digital marketing activity including website performance, social media, digital advertising and analytics.
  • Identify and implement new channels or tools that enhance reach, engagement and conversion.

Key Competencies:

  • Proven experience in a marketing management role, ideally within B2B, retail, manufacturing or services environments.
  • Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering marketing strategies that support business growth.
  • Ability to measure, analyse and report on marketing performance and ROI.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
