What’s the role?

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic Marketing Manager based in London to manage and execute our marketing initiatives across the UK and European markets. As a leading provider of fund administration and technology solutions to the private equity and alternative investment industry, Gen II partners with General Partners (GPs) to deliver critical operational support and innovative solutions.

This role is ideal for a proactive marketer who excels at the intersection of B2B financial services, digital strategy, and local market execution. Based in our London office the role is pivotal to maintaining a seamless, highly collaborative partnership with our US marketing team, and ensuring consistent global brand positioning and effective cross-border campaign alignment.

What you’ll be doing

Regional Strategy and Execution
  • Local Campaign Management: Plan, localise, and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, email, content, and events) tailored to the UK and European private equity ecosystems.
  • Lead Generation: Drive regional pipeline growth by deploying targeted account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to engage emerging and established fund managers.
  • Content Adaptation and Creation: Adapt global marketing collateral, insights, and digital assets for the European market, ensuring local regulatory compliance and cultural relevance.
Global Cross-Border Collaboration
  • US Team Integration: Serve as a key point of liaison between the London office and our US marketing headquarters. Participate in regular global planning sessions to align regional initiatives with organisational objectives.
  • Shared Workflows and Tools: Coordinate with US-based design, content, and operations specialists to leverage centralised marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strategic Initiative Delivery: Facilitate the regional rollout of global corporate initiatives, such as the introduction of proprietary technology platforms, AI-driven client tools, and regulatory update communications.
Events and Brand Positioning
  • Industry Events and Sponsorships: Work with key stakeholders across the business to facilitate the European events programme covering industry conferences, roundtables, and bespoke client networking events.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor European private equity trends (e.g., fund retailisation, regional ESG mandates, continuation vehicle structures) to inform localised positioning statements.

The ideal background for this role:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, specifically within private equity, fund administration, asset management, or fintech/financial services.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of the private equity lifecycle, the relationship between GPs and LPs, and the operational challenges faced by fund managers.
  • Hands-on experience with modern marketing technology stacks, including marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred), CRM systems (Salesforce), and content management systems.
  • Proven track record of working effectively within a matrixed or transatlantic organisation, demonstrating the ability to independently manage local priorities whilst aligning with US corporate objectives.

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based in our London office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
