Let’s face it: out-of-pocket expenses are a hassle, and manual expense spreadsheets are antiquated. Workers don't enjoy waiting until payday for reimbursements on work-related purchases, and finance teams could better utilise their time than navigating complex Excel files for hours. At Pleo, we’re on a campaign to revamp these outdated processes. Our goal is to make spend management astonishingly efficient and enable finance teams and individual employees alike.

That's where your expertise comes into play 🤝

We need a strategic thinker, a creative dynamo, and a capable Marketeer.

Join us at Pleo, where we're actively seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to spearhead initiatives for our UKI region. Bridging strategy and execution, you will become an essential part of our vibrant Marketing team, empowering the finance industry with innovative solutions.

Please note that this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Strategic Leadership: Own and drive the field marketing strategy for the UKI region, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
  • Budget and Pipeline Responsibility: Manage the marketing budget effectively and focus on delivering against the pipeline targets for the region.
  • Sales Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with the Sales team to align marketing initiatives with sales objectives and nurture a strong sales-marketing partnership, owning this collaboration from a marketing perspective.
  • Agency and Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with external agencies and internal stakeholders, including the PR team, to maximise the reach and impact of all field marketing activities.
  • Events Management: Strategise and oversee sponsored events and owned events with a localised approach.
  • Metrics-Driven Reporting: Regularly review and report performance metrics to the Head of Field Marketing and the General Manager UK&I.
  • Cross-functional Team Integration: Be an integral part of a wider field marketing team, working in harmony with managers from different regions to cultivate knowledge-sharing.
  • PR Synergy: Collaborate with the Public Relations team to ensure brand messaging is consistent and leveraged effectively across all field marketing channels and activities.

What we need from you:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with FinTech experience being highly advantageous.
  • Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to craft and execute comprehensive field marketing strategies.
  • Financial Acumen: Competency in managing budgets, forecasting, and calculating returns on marketing investment.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fostering relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including the Sales and PR teams.
  • Proven Event Leadership: A track record of successful event management that aligns with business and sales goals.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Skilled at analysing market trends and marketing performance to inform strategic decisions.

Why join us?
Working at Pleo means you're working on something very exciting: the future of work. Our mission is to help every company go beyond the books. Pleo itself means ‘more than you’d expect’, and it’s been the secret to our success over the last 8 years. So it’s only fitting that we’d pass this philosophy onto our customers to help them make the most of their finances.
We think company spending should be delegated to all employees and teams, that it should be as automated as possible, and that it should drive a culture of responsible spending. Finance teams shouldn’t be siloed from the rest of the organisation – they should work in unity with marketing, sales, IT and everyone else.
Speaking of working in unity, our values tell the story of how we work at Pleo. We have four core values, the first of which is ‘champion the customer’, which means we address real pain points that businesses face. Next up is ‘succeed as a team’, which highlights how our strength lies in our diversity and trust in each other. We also ‘make it happen’ by taking bold decisions and following through to deliver results. Last but not least, we ‘build to scale’, creating lasting solutions that address today’s challenges and anticipate tomorrow’s needs.
So, in a nutshell, that's Pleo. Today we are a 850+ team, from over 100 nations, sitting in our Copenhagen HQ, London, Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid, Montreal and Lisbon offices —and quite a few full-time remotes in 35 other countries! Being HQ'd out of Copenhagen means we're inspired by things like a good work-life balance. If you don't work in the office with us, we'll help you set up the best remote setup possible and make sure you still have time to connect with your team.
