About Global App Testing

Global App Testing is a B2B technology services business with clients including Apple, Google, OpenAi, and Meta. You’ll enter at a time where we’re expanding our business and growing our budget. We have a lean, high-impact marketing team with a commercial team which is in growth. That makes this role an incredible opportunity: you’ll learn to build and deliver marketing outputs which work for world-famous brands and clients, deliver massive impact, and having a lot of fun along the way.

What you’ll be doing

  • Internal events; organize approximately 10 networking events for clients and prospects over the year:

    • Deliver a recursive news and newsletter content “content core” with monthly themes, narratives, talking points, underwritten by 2 pieces of “core content” per month.
      • Work with SDRs to help identify and reach out to any “targets” for the core content (for e.g. interviews, surveys)
      • Use external agencies where applicable
    • Export that core to raw material including social posts, emails, newsletters, and shorter-from blog posts
    • Where appropriate, be ready to jump in to check content from outside of your content streams, understand the requirements, and ensure it’s being produced to standard: e.g. leaflets, SEO content, etc

RequirementsThe person we’re imagining

This role is fundamental to the marketing team. Over the course of the ramping period, you will learn to deliver a significant output in a low-touch way. To do this well, you’ll need to be practical, proactive, and to understand the power of your role. To that end, we’re looking for the following:

Qualifications

Essential

  • 3-5 years experience of B2B marketing, preferably in the technology sector
  • Must include evidence of previously managing large events
  • Must include some content experience and examples of content you have produced
  • Please add an example of your writing

Nice-to-have

  • HubSpot, Figma
  • Production expertise in video
  • Experience hosting and speaking

Note that for this role, we'll expect at least two days in the office per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, changing on some weeks.

What kind of a person would this suit?

Someone self-confident, intelligent, and problem-solving. Many of the tasks here you will be doing for the first time. You’ll need to know when to ask for help, understand when your personal production standard is not high enough, understand what “good” looks like. You’ll need to constantly critique your own work and be comfortable with critiques from management until we optimize to the target standard. You’ll also need perseverance here, as it’s unlikely we’ll get everything right first time. Understand what’s essential and what’s not; deliver to different grades as the moment demands. You’ll also need to communicate well about your strategy, what you’re trying to achieve.

Someone with proactivity, vigilance, and attention-to-detail. Your job is not to do the doing but to make sure the doing is done. Ensure that every detail is accounted for, and be vigilant enough to check. Know the detail, don’t cut corners, do the work. Care enough to drive up standards over time rather than letting them lax. Care enough to make sure things are delivered to a high standard when they’re not being checked by management.

Someone efficient and determined to see things over the line. We don’t have the time or the cash to go around the houses. You’ll need to work from a standpoint of efficiency and effectiveness, without letting detail slip. Work smart, leverage tools effectively, get your hands dirty. Prioritise getting things over the line.

Someone who gets people. This is essential on two counts. First, it won’t be possible to develop the content and events required for our target customers without a fundamental empathy for what matters to our target audience. You need to understand what’s important to various stakeholders in a given business. Secondly, you need to be able to influence internal stakeholders at Global App Testing to do the job well.

Someone hungry for success. Finally, we’re a target-oriented business and this would suit somebody motivated by results. You’ll quickly find that when you generate the pipe at Global App Testing, you’ll get rewarded. Does that make you feel ready to start?
