Our mission is simple: to change lives through travel. And not just our travelers’ either. Since day one, our tours have been built to establish meaningful relationships with local communities, directly benefiting the people and places we visit at every step of our tours.
With the demand for travel coming back strong, we are set up and excited for this next chapter in our company’s story — and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
Our DNA revolves around building, nurturing, and developing a diverse culture of people and a true sense of belonging, where everyone is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work each and every day. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, and yourself, alongside a passionate, talented, and welcoming community that works hard to spread goodness around the world.
If all that sounds like your kind of thing, well, we can’t wait for you to join us.

About the Role

We’re looking for a German-speaking superstar to join the G Adventures’ EMEA marketing team in London. Your arrival will enable our marketing to create a greater impact on our EMEA region in a variety of ways, and ensure we continue to achieve effective growth.

This role is centred on three key areas: our Trade (b2b) Marketing, working with the leading travel agencies on the continent to position G Adventures within their marketing programs; our Consumer and Agent events programs in the UK and Germany; and the regional production flow of our brochures.

Flanked by our regional sales and marketing teams, our creative agencies, and our external partners, you’ll be given the freedom to flex your expertise and instincts to level-up our award-winning service to support the businesses objectives that underpin our mission to change lives through travel.
The role reports to the Director of Marketing in London, UK (EC1V), and benefits from a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 working from home) plus a range of unique benefits (yes, including free holidays!).
Given the focus, the ideal candidate will be fluent in German and English, and have strong experience in the European travel industry, with 5+ years of recent experience in a marketing role, or one with demonstrably transferable skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Curate, deliver and manage EMEA-focused marketing assets, promotions, insights and content

  • Protect the brand, as a fearless brand guardian, by promptly offering feedback in line with our brand standards and guidelines

  • Continued outreach to discover ways to understand customer/market needs, and how we can better service those

  • Leading role in planning and execution of a range of industry and consumer events and exhibitions

  • Identify key media, channels and formats, and deliver first-class creative briefs to maximise our presence within them

  • Execute marketing campaigns to time, budget, and brand standards, with a focus on effectiveness

  • Lead the charge on our regional brochure print and distribution strategy

  • Own and champion a measurement strategy that provides analysis against a select range of marketing KPIs

  • Regularly bring (or inspire) bold, bright, and innovative ideas into the marketing mix

  • Enjoy a range of critical admin tasks, including budget tracking, audits, and data analysis

Desired Skills and Experience

Must have:

  • Fluent in German language

  • Brilliant communication skills, with the confidence to create positive traction internally and externally

  • Strong connection with G Adventures’ Core Values

  • 5+ years professional marketing experience, or clearly transferable skills

  • Experience in campaign and/or event execution and strong project management skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and business units.

  • Understanding of the importance of measurement and tracking of marketing performance and ability to set appropriate campaign objectives and KPIs.

  • All marketing roles at G Adventures are advertised as office-based on a hybrid basis, so ideally you will be living within a commutable distance of our offices in east London (EC1V).

  • The right attitude - agile, honest, positive and compassionate, with the ease to collaborate in person or virtually, either in written or spoken formats

  • The verve and vigour to add to our thriving culture, both locally and globally, both virtual and IRL.

  • Complete understanding of basic marketing principles, and modern marketing techniques

  • Curiosity to keep up to date and share relevant industry and touring sector news

Nice to have:

  • Basic copywriting skills for a variety of marketing communications

  • Experience with cloud computing tools (we use Google Workspace)

  • Experience with project management tools (we use Trello, Slack, ClickUp)

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (we use Looker)

  • Experience working with and briefing marketing agencies and creatives.

What do we offer you?

  • Competitive salary commensurate with the role

  • Competitive benefits package

  • Birthday day off

  • Vacation time for you to recharge

  • Enhanced Parental Leave

  • Learning and growth opportunities

  • Employee Resource Groups
