We are seeking an innovative, commercially driven global Marketing Manager to lead, formulate and execute sales enablement and marketing strategies for Gartner IT conferences that educate, build awareness, drive engagement and result in client paid registrations for Gartner IT conferences. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing complex marketing and digital campaigns resulting in paid self-service registrations or qualified sales leads that result in paid registrations. An ability to understand IT/business roles and utilize this knowledge to develop engaging, value-based messaging and multi-channel marketing approaches is required. This individual will work closely with the conference program management, conference marketing portfolio lead, sales enablement teams and client-facing sales and service delivery associates to achieve or exceed conference registrations for assigned volume and revenue goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with conference program management and conference marketing portfolio lead to develop a deep understanding of product offerings and conference agenda to successfully develop, position, package, and communicate the value proposition of Gartner and the conference to potential Gartner client attendees
  • Fully understand the different types of Gartner clients, products and ticket types to develop messaging and value propositions aligned to their specific needs and buyer journey
  • Understand Gartner product and conference offerings to inform messaging and go-to-market plans that best align to client roles, key initiatives and interest
  • Drive and consume client and conference attendee survey data and competitive analysis to craft messaging and inform market opportunity assessments and campaign strategies
  • Create value-based messaging, positioning and story lines for conference promotion through collateral, video, web, social, SEO/SEM and other channels
  • Work with Digital Marketing Center of Excellence and analytics tools to inform and identify the best channel mix to drive best possible ROI on campaign spend
  • Define and execute comprehensive, client-focused campaign strategies that cover that full buyer journey – from lead acquisition to registration, leveraging re-targeting efforts to maximize overall engagement
  • Partner with Conference Strategic Sales & Services Planning team, Sales Operations & Comms to drive effective and consistent communications across sales and service organizations that prepares Sales & Client Services to engage their clients on Gartner conferences
  • Improve sales and client services teams’ ability to authentically engage with Gartner clients through easy-to-absorb conference-value conversation scripting and conference materials, in addition to maintaining central repository for sales support tools
  • Develop a robust social media strategy to amplify conference value proposition, generate interest and drive conference attendance
  • Execute all campaign elements on time and to budget, continually reviewing performance metrics, identifying innovative new ways to drive demand, and revising campaigns accordingly
  • Actively monitor demand conversion and registrations, identify challenges and solutions, and report results to stakeholders
  • Continually assess commercial performance, forecast confidently and strive to drive higher results whenever possible

 What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Metrics-driven and insatiably curious with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in outbound / digital marketing and direct responsibility for delivering revenue through marketing and sales channels
  • Experienced marketing leader and partner to sales and client-facing stakeholders
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Knowledge and experience in multi-channel marketing campaign creation, lead management, and pipeline conversion
  • Data-driven and analytical; experience with Google Analytics a plus
  • Great interpersonal, collaborative and oral/written communication skills
  • Email marketing, with marketing automation experience such as Eloqua or similar
  • Experience with fundamental principles of design
  • SEO/SEM, web content creation and content management skills; experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus
  • Left Brain + Right Brain by nature; understand customer insights, data and analysis and be able to use it to calibrate campaigns and create better content/copy
