Role Overview

We are searching for a Marketing Lead to support our Private Equity (PE). You will be the connective tissue between marketing, the sales team, and our community of consultants, creating the "gravity" that draws in leaders in these critical industries. Catalant is the secret weapon to create value for leading Private Equity firms. 

The ideal candidate has at least ten years of experience in B2B professional services marketing and a significant working knowledge of the Private Equity industry. If you’re coming from a big firm, that’s great – you’re in good company – as long as you have the patience, agility, and entrepreneurial spirit required to help scale a growing organization. 

While this role will have a PE focus, it’s a member of a small team – assistance with other verticals such as Financial Services will be required.

What you'll do

    Segment Strategy & GTM: 

  • Partner with the VP of Marketing + team to define and execute the marketing roadmap for the PE vertical, identifying opportunities for engagement on key accounts and key market trends  

  • Drive / conduct market research on key trends in the Private Equity industry

  • Lead multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns 

  • Monitor news and competitor thought leadership offerings 

  • Track performance at the campaign level

  • Build and maintain working relationships with consultants 

  • Help establish a PE center of excellence in conjunction with the Practice Community

  • Working closely with the Practice Community, Client Community, and external resources, lead collateral creation and curation efforts. 

  • Thought Leadership, Content and Promotion

  • Working with our consultants and our content team, plan and develop sophisticated thought leadership that speaks the “language of PE” to deepen brand trust and client engagement 

  • Mine account planning intelligence, lead client and consultant surveys to fuel insights 

  • Build and maintain a list of PE publications for content and promotional purposes

  • Broker case study creation for the website and sales materials

  • Develop video content positioning consultants as experts

  • Develop and manage our PE microsite

  • Identify and drive promotion opportunities for our insights

  • Develop PE-focused campaigns

  • Drive internal engagement to support PE and FS marketing activities, particularly with social media and content sharing 

  • Events and Customer Experience Programs

  • In conjunction with the Events team, plan and scale Catalant-hosted events for Private Equity 

  • Research and monitor the PE events landscape to identify new opportunities to engage with PE clients and prospects, evaluating them against business objectives and impact

  • Lead strategy and coordination of webinars, virtual programs, and partner initiatives 

  • Integrate events and sponsorships into broader campaign strategies, including pre-event targeting and post-event follow-up 

  • Ensure presentation materials, event collateral, and communications directly support pipeline development and client engagement

  • And of course, we expect your participation and entrepreneurialism to help make the Brand, Marketing, and Communications team an efficient, high-performing team.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of marketing experience 

  • Experience in or targeting the PE industry

  • Professional services experience preferred

  • Ability to AI prompt effectively and to spot or challenge hallucinations 

  • Broad marketing experience across digital assets, social, demand generation, thought leadership, content marketing strategy, event and sponsorship activation and cross-channel program management 

  • Strong business acumen and executive presence

  • Familiarity with marketing automation systems  

  • Solid written communication skills
