Responsible for leading product launches; driving and sustaining demand for the laptop category throughout key sales seasons; and working with key industry partners to deliver best in class marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This strategic role sits in the MX Marketing Communications team, under the new ecosystem and PC product marketing structure.

PC is an exciting and important opportunity within Samsung. Being a relatively new category, we have already made a lot of progress raising awareness and growing our market share.

We are now looking for the marketing lead to bring us to the next level and establish Samsung as a top consumer PC brand in the UK market.

  • Annual and quarterly product marketing campaign planning across the PC category

  • Best in class marketing executions delivering exceptional results

  • Ensuring all marketing investment delivers against our required marketing Key Performance Indicators and revenue targets, with a robust test and learn model

  • Creative excellence and brand stewardship working hand in hand with regional and global HQ teams

  • Integrated Marketing Planning. Ensuring paid, earned and owned plans are fully aligned to the varying audiences and category trends

  • All agency management and ensure alignment with fast focused loop teams

  • Maintain relationships with third-party channels and partnerships driving co-marketing initiatives

  • A robust working relationship with all MX functions, aligned to wider marketing, sales and Omnichannel teams

  • Data and insights driven advisory for all marketing and Omni channel executions

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Strategic acumen: able to see the bigger picture and make the complex simple. You’ll be juggling multiple metrics and points of view.

  • Collaborative: the ability to build a network, understand different points of view, overcome objections, deliver a vision and a plan and then make it happen by working with and through others.

  • Resilience: this role requires the ability to work at pace. You'll be comfortable with speed, you’ll thrive in chaos and be calm in a crisis, and be OK with never having the full or final picture.

  • Proactive: see around corners and define a clear path forwards and to take people with you.

  • Team leadership: a calm management style and strong focus on building the abilities, confidence and happiness of the team.

  • Brand and consumer driven: you will be the voice of the consumer, defining how Samsung products and services can tap into consumer needs and behaviours to generate demand.

  • Attention to detail: to deliver toolkits and assets on time to all relevant parties – timings can’t slip and assets have to be consistent.

  • Media literate: understand the media landscape and be able to deliver quality media strategy that meets our objectives.

  • Data savvy: the ability to identify and demonstrate insights and measure performance in real-time, adapting where necessary.

  • Externally focused: the ability to understand retail, channel and online needs and deliver messages and comms that will generate demand.

What does success look like?

  • You will hit the ground running and quickly build an internal network and strategic understanding of the business.

  • You’ll develop a grasp of the big picture whilst also getting into the detail with the team. You will quickly demonstrate team leadership and establish yourself as a calm manager of the team and strong leader within the business.

  • You will jump into quarterly planning, establish yourselves with agencies, and be across the numbers. You will innovate and remain agile
