IXL Learning, developer of personalised learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Marketing Lead to lead our marketing efforts in the UK and support the growth of two established and well-regarded brands: MyTutor and IXL.

  • MyTutor is the UK's leading online tutoring platform, used by 1,300 schools and 200,000 families. Our vision is to expand MyTutor’s customer base to encompass a wide range of subjects and to serve primary and secondary students, university students, and independent adult learners.
  • IXL is a personalised learning platform for Reception-Year 13, used by 17 million students and 1 million teachers worldwide. Our footprint is growing in the UK thanks to our innovative teaching, learning, and assessment resources that help students build the skills they need to succeed.

You will help shape the evolution of these brands at an important stage of growth, developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that expand their reach, engagement and impact in the UK. This is a broad, highly collaborative role that spans both B2C and B2B marketing. You will need to be equally comfortable thinking about how to reach and engage individual learners and families as well as marketing to schools and trusts. In collaboration with our US-based marketing teams, you will create compelling brand and product messaging, support our UK-based sales team with field marketing campaigns, develop communications to support and engage with customers, and more.

Our ideal candidate thrives both independently and as a collaborative cross-functional partner, and brings strong organisational skills, hands-on resourcefulness, and strategic thinking—and is passionate about IXL’s mission to improve learning experiences for everyone.

This position requires you to be in our London office on Old Street. #LI-CC1

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

In this role, you will play a key role in expanding MyTutor’s B2C marketing programme.

  • Own the marketing plan, developing and executing strategies and tactics that will attract and retain new customers
  • Refine and build out MyTutor’s consumer brand messaging as we scale
  • Lead marketing for new product/feature launches, including internal and external communications
  • Develop content and strategies for email, website landing pages, and social media
  • Support tutor communication and recruitment
  • Collaborate across the business to gather insights, ensure alignment to objectives, and devise creative and effective strategies

You’ll also support B2B marketing efforts for both MyTutor and IXL in the UK:

  • Partner closely with sales leadership and account teams to identify opportunities, challenges, and priorities, and translate these insights into effective marketing strategies
  • Develop and execute field marketing campaigns that attract new customers (schools and trusts)
  • Create marketing messaging, collateral, email campaigns, and sales enablement resources
  • Gain a strong understanding of our customers at the school and trust level, and maintain an active pulse on market trends in the region
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of brand marketing, communications, and/or integrated marketing experience, including with consumer-facing brands.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns that positively impact marketing and business goals
  • Strategic thinking: You are able to take a set of goals and build short- and long-term plans and strategies to achieve them. You consider an idea from all angles, ask smart questions, and make thoughtful decisions that align with the company needs, values, and resources
  • Written communication: You are an exceptional writer and editor who knows how to clearly communicate a message and make every word count
  • You get things done: You’re a self-starter, detail- and deadline-focused, organised, and adaptable. You have the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish and rally stakeholders around a common goal
  • Interpersonal skills: You’re a team player, have excellent verbal communication skills, and can successfully collaborate with colleagues across varied teams
  • Education and edtech knowledge: A working knowledge of the UK education system and an ability to quickly learn about the edtech and tutoring spaces

Safeguarding is everyone’s business at MyTutor – we are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults, and we expect all team members to share this commitment. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check with children's barred list check.
