Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on Marketing Executive to join our team and help grow our brand in the education sector. You’ll play a key role in promoting our sports equipment to schools across the UK, with a strong focus on digital marketing, analytics, content creation, and merchandising. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about sport and education, with the creativity and curiosity to craft compelling campaigns and drive engagement—particularly with PE teachers and school decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and deliver marketing campaigns across digital and print channels to support product launches, catalogues, and seasonal promotions.
  • Write and source engaging content, including news, product updates, and educational tips, for a monthly email newsletter aimed at PE teachers.
  • Merchandise products on the website to ensure they are correctly presented and optimised for sales, including optimising product descriptions and images for better SEO.
  • Work with the commercial team to assist in creating and launching new products.
  • Manage and update content across our website and social media platforms to ensure timely reflection of seasonal offers and key messages.
  • Using Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics to monitor campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions, such as improving conversion rates, tracking engagement, and adjusting strategies.
  • Support customer engagement through targeted email campaigns.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners, such as designers, buying, and education influencers.
  • Conduct market research to understand school buying behaviours, term-time patterns, and sports education trends. Use insights from this research to optimise marketing strategies.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases and CRM tools.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally in e-commerce or B2B.
  • Optimising marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, print, digital, website, events).
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Shopify platform, including product listings and merchandising.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills, including website copy, blogs, social media captions and product descriptions.
  • Proven ability to measure and report KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, traffic, engagement) using Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Skilled in managing email marketing campaigns and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Proven ability to create and deliver clear, compelling presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in or with schools (e.g. in a school-based role, as a supplier, or in education marketing), with a strong understanding of the UK school calendar and education sector.
  • Interest in or knowledge of PE and school sport, with a passion for encouraging active learning.
  • Basic design skills (e.g. Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience using email platforms (e.g. Emarsys).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIM, Google Ads, HubSpot) are a plus.
