Job Description

This role is based in our 240 Blackfriars office.

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Marketing Executive to spearhead audience growth and engagement for two of our flagship life sciences media brands: BioXconomy and Bioprocess International. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in expanding our reach within the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.

Strategic Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to grow readership and subscriptions for BioXconomy and Bioprocess International.
  • Create detailed campaign plans with clear objectives, timelines, and KPIs to drive audience acquisition and retention.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with editorial and sales teams to align marketing initiatives with content and revenue goals.

Digital Marketing & Audience Growth

  • Design and execute targeted email campaigns to boost traffic, engagement, and subscription conversions.
  • Manage social media campaigns across LinkedIn and other platforms to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
  • Optimize SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and work with paid search agencies to maximize SEM performance.
  • Leverage data-driven segmentation to deliver personalized marketing communications and content recommendations.

Content Marketing & Thought Leadership

  • Partner with editors to create marketing materials that showcase the unique value of our publications.
  • Develop compelling promotional content, including newsletters, social posts, and landing pages, to drive readership.
  • Ensure all marketing materials are scientifically accurate and commercially impactful.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Use analytics tools to measure campaign performance, readership metrics, and subscription conversion rates.
  • Conduct A/B testing for email campaigns, landing pages, and social content to optimize engagement.
  • Utilize CRM, email platforms, and analytics tools to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with editorial teams to align marketing campaigns with content calendars and key themes.
  • Partner with sales teams to support lead generation and deliver marketing-qualified leads.
  • Coordinate with design and web development teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Event Marketing & Revenue Growth

  • Collaborate with event marketers to drive attendance from media audiences and convert event participants into loyal subscribers.
  • Promote BioXconomy and Bioprocess International at industry events to boost brand visibility and subscriber acquisition.
  • Develop post-event campaigns to engage attendees and convert them into long-term readers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B media, publishing, or the life sciences industry.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms, social media management, and SEO/SEM.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms, and CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in scientific publishing or the media industry.
  • Understanding of regulatory considerations in life sciences marketing.
