Digital Marketing Executive - Premier League 12 month FTC
Salary: £30,000 plus benefits
The Role
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to join our team and play a key role servicing one of our major clients - the Premier League - offering marketing support for their digital platforms that are used by millions of sports fans globally. This will involve working on a broad range of tasks, outlined below.
This position will report into the Global Head of Marketing at Pulselive and the Digital Marketing Manager (DMA) at the Premier League.
The Premier League’s digital media channels perform a vital role in helping grow the global reach of our competition, increasing engagement among football fans while supporting our member Clubs, broadcast licensees and commercial partners.
This exciting role will become an important addition to the Direct Marketing team, which oversees the direct communication to Premier League fans through EDM, content and mobile marketing, as well as native digital promotional campaigns.
You will be expected to play an important role in the enhancement of the Premier League’s direct-to-fan offering, contributing to wider objectives of the Digital Media department. You will be responsible for crafting, optimising and personalising direct communication with new and existing Premier League fans.
Key Responsibilities
As a Digital Marketing Executive you will be responsible for:
Journey orchestration: Deliver personalised fan engagement through automated marketing, multi-step journeys and real-time activations.
Messages & content: Writing and proofreading creative copy for outbound marketing channels such as email, push and in-app notifications.
Ideation: Devising and presenting ideas and strategies for direct-to-fan marketing communications.
Email design support: Working closely with technical and graphic design specialists to deliver visually impactful communications.
Executing expertise: Assisting the Direct Marketing Manager on the production of digital marketing communications delivered through Adobe platforms, working alongside internal and external colleagues.
Requirements
Campaign management: Experience with direct marketing communications - including email, push & in-app notifications - in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Knowledge of conversational marketing such as WhatsApp is useful.
Subscription marketing awareness: An understanding of how subscription products are marketed and supported is useful.
Audience awareness: Understanding of customer segments and how audiences can be targeted.
Marketing Automation: Familiarity with marketing automation tools and platforms, including awareness of integrating with other marketing technologies is useful.
Ideation: Curiosity and willingness to explore and recommend new and innovative digital marketing methods.
Copywriting experience: Highly competent copywriter in English with experience of crafting engaging stories and messages for marketing purposes.
Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail and high standards in execution is required to protect the global reputation of the organisation.
Digital know-how: A knowledge of, and keen interest in, the digital landscape from channel marketing through to web and app delivery.
Natural team player: Desire to help support the broader success of the team and wider department.
Passion: An interest in sport and sports fandom. Understanding of the media sector and relationships between rights holders, broadcasters, partners and the media is useful. Football knowledge helpful, but not essential.
Fantasy Premier League: Experience of playing Fantasy Premier League is desirable.
Adobe Experience Platform: Experience of using the Adobe platform, including Adobe Journey Optimizer, plus HTML and CSS expertise is useful.
