Lightspeed seeks a proactive Events Marketing Specialist to bolster our EMEA Marketing team. In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead our events marketing strategy for hospitality and retail, working closely with the Integrated Marketing Director to achieve business targets and ensure flawless execution across digital and physical events.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust events marketing strategy across the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany to increase registrations, attendance, and engagement.
  • Trade Show Experience
  • Manage the events budget and vendor relationships, ensuring effective cost management.
  • Craft detailed event briefs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution within timelines and budgets.
  • Set targets, measure event impact, and oversee team targets during events for successful delivery.
  • Negotiate with vendors, manage event space setup, and actively troubleshoot during events.
  • Track event success metrics, derive insights for future improvements and report on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with content, design, regional marketing, sales, and partnerships teams to create compelling events that resonate with our audience.
  • Analyze performance metrics for digital and physical events, optimizing campaign efficiency.
  • Actively seek and curate events aligning with our ideal customer profile, innovating in their delivery and execution.
  • Support Field Sales with hyper-local marketing activations and material creation.
  • Organize diverse events to establish Lightspeed's industry leadership and foster customer, prospect, and partner connections.
  • Understand the role of events in wider marketing strategies, leveraging them to attract, engage, and retain customers effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of Marketing or Events experience.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Ability to handle unforeseen situations calmly and effectively.
  • Interest in managing marketing logistics with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking and goal prioritization abilities.
  • Results-driven work ethic, adept at both independent and collaborative work.
  • Proficient team player in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent English proficiency; fluency in French, German, or Dutch is very advantageous.
