Job Description

As the Marketing Director within the European Visa Direct Marketing Team, you will drive demand generation and go-to-market execution with full ownership of the marketing strategy. This role is critical to driving revenue, enabling strong and collaborative relationships across the company, and enabling team ways of working.

You will lead the regional EU marketing team, comprised of 3 marketers, to develop and deliver the EU marketing strategy that aligns with KPIs which you will agree with the key business stakeholders.

As a strategic leader you will developing new ways of working, processes, and delivery mechanisms for your team. Your leadership will inspire them to work collaboratively and deliver consistently excellent results across all our target segments.

This role will work closely with the CEMEA and APAC teams and reports in the Senior Director of Marketing for EU, CEMEA and APAC.

This role is responsible for the leadership of a team with ambitious KPIs, so it is imperative that management and oversight is provided to ensure KPIs are tracked, delivered against, and stakeholders are kept updated.

Ultimately your relationship-building will position Marketing as a trusted advisor across the business, influencing peers and contributing to the wider strategy.

Key Responsibilities

What we expect of you, day to day:

EU Marketing Strategy

· You will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Director, EU, CEMEA and APAC Marketing, your direct reports, and the sales and revenue team to build an EU-wide strategy using best practice and cutting-edge marketing tactics.

· Working with the SDR team lead you will build targets, KPIs, and a reporting cadence for your team.

· You will bring new ideas and suggestions to the team, fostering an ‘always improving’ environment to push the team towards being best in class.

· Working with your peers and the Senior Director, EU, CEMEA and APAC Marketing you will report on your team’s progress and plans to a senior audience, gaining buy-in on strategy and challenging when needed.

Marketing Leadership & Execution

· As an experienced leader, you will coach and lead your team to execute against your strategy.

· You also have to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the work being done, pitching in on ad-hoc campaigns and marketing execution that falls outside of the day-to-day team plans.

· You’ll help and mentor career growth across the team.

· Be responsible for recruitment, training and induction of new team members.

· Manage performance of the marketing managers, ensuring they are hitting the targets you have set.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, MBA preferred.

· Marketing experience, ideally in B2B or product marketing within payments or financial services.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management and influencing skills, highly organized.

· Proven strategic an inspiring leader experienced in owning marketing strategies and delivering consistently excellent results.

· Strong understanding of different marketing disciplines, and the ability to deliver marketing strategy across the breadth of the marketing mix.
