About the Role:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and personable individual to join our team as a Marketing Development Representative (MDR). You will be working alongside our SDR function, closely collaborating with both the Sales and Marketing teams to respond to inbound inquiries in a timely manner. This is a new and exciting role, giving you the unique opportunity to take ownership, make it your own, and work with managers and Account Executives to significantly impact our success.


This role is perfect for someone who loves building rapport quickly, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to develop their skills in a supportive, growth-oriented company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Qualification & Engagement: Manage inbound leads from marketing-driven sources, including demo requests and profiled form submissions.
  • Building Relationships: Engage with potential clients through calls and emails, establishing connections and fostering interest in Cision’s offerings.
  • Collaborative Growth: Work with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to ensure smooth lead handoff and follow-up, contributing to pipeline growth.
  • Ownership & Impact: As the first MDR, you will play a pivotal role in defining and refining processes, shaping how we approach inbound engagement.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A natural people person who builds rapport easily.
  • Previous work experience or a relevant degree.
  • Enthusiastic about sales and eager to learn and grow in the role.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable with phone and email outreach.
