Marketing Data & Reporting Insights Intern

Cloudflare is seeking an intern to support a key project focused on gathering intelligence across the team to enhance data and reporting capabilities. Working closely with our Operations Manager, the intern will engage with team members across EMEA and globally to identify reporting requirements that drive better results.
The project will follow a structured approach, beginning with a discovery phase where the intern will meet with stakeholders to gather insights on reporting needs and data requirements. This will be followed by analysis and categorisation, organising and prioritising the collected information into clear areas of focus. The next step involves validation, where findings will be reviewed with stakeholders to confirm accuracy and refine requirements. The intern will then collaborate with the analytics team to assess existing data sources and identify gaps. Finally, they will compile detailed recommendations for immediate action and develop a roadmap for future improvements.

What you'll do
Data & Reporting Discovery:

• Engage with stakeholders across EMEA Marketing and global Marketing Teams to gather intelligence on reporting needs and data requirements.
• Conduct interviews and meetings with team members to understand their existing reports, challenges, and data gaps.
• Document insights and key findings to build a comprehensive view of reporting requirements.

Analysis & Categorisation:

• Organise and prioritise the collected information into structured categories based on business impact and urgency.
• Identify common themes, overlaps, and discrepancies in reporting needs.
• Develop a framework to streamline and standardize reporting intelligence.

Validation & Refinement:

• Present initial findings to stakeholders for review and feedback.
• Sanity-check requirements with key team members to ensure alignment and accuracy.
• Iterate and refine reporting needs based on feedback received.

Collaboration with Analytics:

• Work with the analytics team to assess what reports and data sources already exist.
• Identify gaps between current reporting capabilities and stakeholder needs.
• Understand how data is currently accessed, processed, and visualized within the organization.

Recommendations & Action Plan:

• Develop a set of immediate actions that can be implemented to improve reporting efficiency.
• Create a roadmap outlining long-term reporting enhancements and priorities.
• Provide structured documentation and recommendations to leadership for future execution.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and organise data effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact confidently across teams and regions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to identify challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations and analytics.
• Strong organisational and project management skills to structure tasks and manage timelines effectively.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools, reporting platforms, or business intelligence systems is a plus.
