About the Role:
The role involves planning and executing the annual B2B plan, including conferences, webinars, thought leadership events, and onboarding activities with subscribing universities.
The coordinator will work closely with internal teams such as product managers, sales teams, faculty leaders, and external partners to ensure seamless execution.
Additionally, they will manage social media communication, creating engaging content to promote Elsevier’s academic solutions and initiatives, maintaining a consistent and compelling narrative across all channels to strengthen our regional presence and engagement.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing regional marketing communication plans for Elsevier’s academic solutions portfolio in the United Kingdom, ensuring alignment with local strategies.
Execute the planning and coordination of marketing programs, including conferences, webinars, thought leadership events, and onboarding activities with universities.
Manage digital channels by creating and scheduling engaging content to promote Elsevier’s solutions and initiatives.
Collaborate with and lead communication efforts with internal teams such as product managers and sales, faculty leaders, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing activities.
Develop and support the creation of sales enablement materials and activities to help sales teams promote awareness and usage of digital products among institutional personas: students, teachers, librarians, university administrators.
Coordinate and support lead generation and nurturing campaigns in collaboration with the Global Digital Marketing team and local Sales team.
Manage and monitor marketing campaigns, tracking progress towards targets and making adjustments as needed.
Work with external vendors and suppliers, including raising purchase orders and managing budgets, to ensure activities are delivered on time and within budget.
Track, analyse, and report on the performance of marketing activities to optimize future initiatives.
Ensure all marketing activities are aligned with Elsevier’s branding, product messaging, and international guidelines.
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Agile, proactive, and capable of working effectively within a matrix organization with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
Eager to learn and understand the "what," "why," and "how" behind tasks and initiatives.
Strong communicator, capable of conveying ideas and also you will have strong planning and organizational abilities.
Creative problem-solver with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B marketing and communication within Academic, Healthcare, or Technology sectors.
In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of oral and written communication, especially for social media posts, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
Highly organized with proven project management skills.
Familiarity with digital tools such as social media platforms, Canva, HighSpot, and others.
