How you will make an impact

Reporting to the Director of Marketing AIG Global Specialty & Talbot, the role is marketing-led, with communications responsibilities delivered in close partnership with UK Marketing & Communications and global/regional teams to ensure aligned messaging, brand consistency, and governance.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Support the building and delivery of marketing and communications plans aligned to underwriting and distribution priorities for Talbot and Global Specialty.

  • Translate business goals into campaign roadmaps and channel plans, and support the development of clear propositions and messaging for priority products/solutions and ensure consistent application across materials.

  • Partner with underwriting and distribution leaders to identify market moments and support the development and implementation of marketing activity, events and materials that supports pipeline and client/broker engagement.

  • Track performance and provide metric/insight-led recommendations.

  • Maintain an editorial/activity calendar aligned to business priorities and key events.

  • Support internal events, colleague engagement activities and internal and external communications activity as needed, coordinating with the UK and global/regional M&C teams.

  • Ensure all marketing communications meet organisational standards and brand guidelines, including working within AIG guidelines and protocols where relevant.

  • Partner with the AIG UK Franchise M&C team and global/regional marketing teams, as needed, to collaborate on key projects and to ensure alignment of campaigns, messaging, brand, and timing.

  • Manage external agencies and suppliers (creative, events, digital) including briefs, budgets, timelines, and quality control.

  • Ensure all marketing and communications outputs meet internal governance, brand standards, legal and regulatory requirements.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Business, Marketing and Communications qualification.

  • Significant experience in marketing communications, preferably within financial services, insurance, or a B2B environment.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing communications campaigns across multiple channels with specialist skills in digital marketing, including SEM, social media strategy, content creation, and analytics.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong experience managing agencies and external partners to deliver best-in-class marketing initiatives.

  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Effectively works within a matrix structure with multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.
