Job Description

**PERFORMED REMOTELY**

IWI’s Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the marketing team in the administration of its functions. The Marketing Assistant markets IWI by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; developing promotional materials; maintaining databases; and preparing reports. Normally performs tasks with work priorities and general instructions provided by the director. Exercises judgment in selecting and applying established procedures correctly and in determining when to refer problems to the director.

 Assisting the marketing coordinator and supporting the marketing team with marketing activities.

 Assisting with the production of marketing materials and literature.

 Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications

 Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions as required

 Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature.

 Writing articles and promotional material for the company.

 Preparing interesting written copy for the website.

 Uploading marketing material to online libraries, internet groups and social media sites.

 Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases.

 Managing events, booking venues and ordering marketing materials.

 Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages.

 Assist with the writing and distribution of press releases.

Qualifications

This position requires someone who has excellent research, writing, and communication skills, is self-motivated, reliable, organized, thorough and timely. This is a volunteer position.

Time Commitment: The minimum commitment is an average of 5-10 hours per week including a weekly one on one meeting with the Director.
