A Day in the Life

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a life transforming therapy for patients with movement disorders. If working to significantly impact the lives of patients with movement disorders by opening access to this transformative therapy inspires you then this position should interest you!

Despite the life-transforming opportunity of the therapy, less than 1 in 10 patients in the UK have the opportunity to be access DBS. We are looking to recruit a passionate, energetic and experienced market developer to challenge this. The role will work to identify barriers at both a national and hospital level that restrict patients access to DBS and work to develop and implement solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Drive continuous new patient growth in the short, medium, and long term by developing and executing market development plans at both national and hospital levels
  • Build and execute strategies to secure routine reimbursement for future DBS indications across the UK
  • Identify hospitals with the potential and appetite to increase patient referrals for DBS surgery
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to identify access barriers and implement tailored solutions
  • Define clear KPIs and track execution to demonstrate how the market development strategy supports commercial objectives and strategic priorities
  • Take accountability for the execution of key market development programs by partnering with sales teams and country and regional marketing teams

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Healthcare, Medical, or Scientific disciplines preferred, or equivalent experience within the healthcare industry
  • A positive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong passion, energy, and a commitment to excellence
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (70%+ of time) across the UK, with occasional travel beyond the UK and Ireland
  • Proven success in a market development role; experience in movement disorders is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of the UK healthcare system and experience in business case development is an advantage
