Overall Purpose of Role:

This is a key role, working within the Exchange’s market data team. The Market Data Analyst will provide administrative, operational and customer support across the Market Data business function with particular focus on LME market data policies and licensing. The individual will work closely with the other team members to ensure efficient and effective running of the Market Data business processes and provide direct support for data customers worldwide.

The Market Data Team at the LME manages direct licensing, sales and customer support of the Exchange’s Market Data Services globally with relationships covering both global data vendors and specialist metals information providers as well as sales administration for real time data applications, data feeds and services.

The Market Data Team is seeking a highly motivated, well organised professional to join this dynamic business unit and the duties include but are not limited to the key responsibilities outlined below.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the administrative tasks for Client meetings, recording actions for internal and external meetings in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage the administrative tasks for the on-boarding procedure for new market data applications which includes and not limited to, KYC verifications, Online Licensing Portal support, approval requests, invoicing tasks
  • Manage data feed approval requests
  • Manage general administrative tasks supporting BAU licensing which includes contract management and producing weekly summary information
  • Support market data policy reviews, amendments and new policy initiatives to develop the LME Licensing framework
  • Support industry best practice policy and regulatory requirements for market data licensing
  • Provide administrative support for information input into the compliance, auditing and reporting function where applicable
  • Oversee data validity checks supporting the commercial team which includes reporting and licensing information
  • General and escalation support for commercial market data queries internally and externally
  • Contribute and support projects for market data and across the business which impact data customers and other market data stakeholders.
  •  Supporting and compiling regulatory information, for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage and support operations processes to support new market data policy initiatives
  • Key contact for technology suppliers supporting market data licensing and on-boarding which includes and not limited to supporting new application up-dates, logging queries, UAT testing, managing the weekly calls

Academic and Professional Qualifications Required:

  • Degree educated – ideally with a business, commercial, or analytical focus.
  • Demonstrable experience in a B2B environment

Required Knowledge and Level of Experience:

  • Customer support experience
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferable
  • Management reporting experience an advantage
  • Market data administration experience essential.
  • Understanding of market data technologies including data feeds and terminal services, security and web technologies an advantage.
  • Experience in a commercially focused environment.
