Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and technically-minded Manual QA Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be the final gatekeeper of quality, responsible for validating our front-end web applications and back-end services. You will work as an embedded member of our Scrum teams, ensuring the "Definition of Done" is met for every story. Your mission is to ensure that what we build is functional, reliable, and perfectly aligned with our business goals.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Full-Stack Manual Testing: Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for complex web applications.

  • API Validation: Use Postman to perform thorough API testing, validating status codes, payloads, and error handling.

  • Automation Collaboration: Partner with Automation Test Engineers to identify manual test cases that are high-priority for automation and identify gaps in existing test coverage.

  • Data Integrity: Write and execute SQL queries to perform database validation and ensure backend data aligns with the front-end UI.

  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects within Jira, providing detailed logs, screenshots, and clear reproduction steps.

  • Task Tracking: Manage and update Work Items within Azure DevOps to ensure testing progress is transparent and aligned with sprint goals.

  • Technical Collaboration: Use Azure DevOps to review automation run results and maintain alignment between manual test cases and the automated suite.

  • Scrum Participation: Actively participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives to provide a QA perspective on upcoming features.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in manual software testing or QA, specifically focused on web platforms.

  • Agile Expertise: Proven experience working within Scrum or Kanban teams, with a solid understanding of agile ceremonies and deliverables.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and proficiency in writing SQL queries for data verification.

  • Tooling Expertise: Demonstrated expertise using Jira for the full bug-tracking lifecycle and experience managing tasks/requirements via Azure DevOps Work Items.

  • SDLC Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern testing methodologies (Functional, Integration, Regression, etc.).

  • Analytical Mindset: Sharp problem-solving skills to identify root causes and a "user-first" approach to identifying UX friction.

Nice to Haves
  • Infrastructure Familiarity: Basic comfort with Kubernetes (e.g., checking pod status or logs) to assist in debugging.

  • Code Literacy: Ability to read basic automation scripts in Azure DevOps to understand existing test coverage.

  • Browser DevTools: Proficiency in using browser developer tools to troubleshoot console errors or network issues.

Benefits
  • Work-from-anywhere scheme (travel and work)

  • Flexible working hours

  • Health and life insurance program

  • Learning & development budget

  • A passionate, international, and supportive team
