Job Description

As a Mansart Middle Office Associate in Mansart Middle Office team you will perform core trade support functions across the range of products traded by the business, including bonds, equities, equity swaps and others. You will manager trade capture, trade confirmation and trade lifecycle.
Job responsibilities

  • Ensures that all core reconciliations, including cash and security reconciliations with custodians, EMIR reporting reconciliations, NAV reconciliations, and fee reconciliations, are performed to a high standard
  • Proactively manages settlements to minimize risk and penalty charges
  • Ensures that margin and collateral risk is managed effectively
  • Partners closely with portfolio managers to deliver best in class fund launches
  • Has an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from a financial and operational perspective
  • Fosters trusting and credible client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality service, which involves addressing daily queries, leading action-oriented meetings, and engaging in difficult conversations when necessary


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • The ability to act and communicate with humility, empathy and kindness
  • Proven track record of being a subject matter expert (any product or workflow) in a previous role
  • Proven ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple, digestible way to varied audiences
  • A very disciplined attitude to operational risk management. Takes pride in doing the 'simple' things consistently well
  • The ability to work with large data sets to pull trends and provide meaningful feedback to the business
  • The ability to bring multiple groups together to solve a problem and hold people accountable for their actions


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with fund management, collateral management, OTC derivatives, and trade settlement
  • Ability to independently automate manual processes using digital automation tools such as Alteryx
  • A naturally curious thinker with a hunger to learn and teach others
  • An optimistic approach to problem solving - views problems as opportunities and not roadblocks
