Managing Principal (Director) – Post Merger Integration

Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Business Consulting | Type: Permanent

Lead complex post-merger integrations that turn change into lasting value.

The Role

As Capco continues to grow its Business Consulting capability, we are building a dedicated Post Merger Integration (PMI) offering to support clients through complex integration journeys following mergers, acquisitions, and carve-outs.

We are seeking a Managing Principal to play a senior leadership role in shaping and delivering this capability. This position will see you focus on the execution and leadership of PMI programmes, rather than transaction advisory or deal analysis. You will act as a trusted senior partner to clients, owning the end-to-end integration lifecycle from integration strategy and governance through to execution, value realisation, and change adoption, working closely with executive stakeholders and Capco’s established transformation teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end post-merger integration programmes, ensuring strong governance, delivery discipline, and value realisation
  • Act as a senior advisor to executive and C-suite stakeholders, guiding them through complex integration challenges
  • Design and run integration operating models and Integration Management Offices (IMOs) aligned to client strategy
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across business, technology, data, and change to deliver successful integration outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of Capco’s PMI capability through proposition development, client engagement, and mentoring senior consultants

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience leading post-merger integration delivery within consulting or complex organisational environments
  • Proven ability to run PMI programmes end to end, with a strong emphasis on execution, governance, and change leadership
  • Experience delivering integrations within Financial Services or other regulated industries
  • Experience in large-scale Management Consulting environments with confidence engaging senior executive stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of how business, technology, operating model, and culture intersect during integration
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with comfort operating in ambiguity

Bonus Points For

  • Background in large-scale transformation programmes that intersect with M&A activity
  • Experience setting up or leading Integration Management Offices
  • Track record of helping build or scale new consulting propositions or capabilities

Why Join Capco

  • Play a leading role in shaping a new and strategically important capability within Business Consulting
  • Work at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution
  • Partner with senior clients on complex, high-impact integration programmes
  • Operate in a collaborative, flat, and entrepreneurial consulting culture
  • Access continuous learning, leadership development, and opportunities to shape Capco’s future
