The Managing Director will lead CFGI's UK Cybersecurity practice, focusing on business growth, team management, client advisory, and operational oversight.
Position Overview:
CFGI is a leading financial consulting firm specializing in accounting, finance, technology & cybersecurity advisory services. As part of our rapidly growing Cybersecurity Practice, we are seeking a Cybersecurity Lead – UK to establish and expand our presence in the UK market. This role combines strategic leadership, business development, and delivery oversight to help clients navigate complex cybersecurity challenges, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Market Expansion
· Drive the growth of CFGI’s UK Cybersecurity practice by developing go-to-market strategies and building strong client relationships.
· Identify opportunities through own professional network, upsell across CFGI’s existing clients across various sectors. Leverage some of the key events such as IPO readiness, and regulatory compliance programs (e.g., SEC, GDPR, NIS Directive) to enable new demand.
· Collaborate with global leadership to align UK initiatives with CFGI’s overall cybersecurity strategy.
Leadership & People Management
· Build and lead a high-performing UK cybersecurity team, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and career development.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across practice.
· Manage resource allocation and oversee performance to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Client Advisory & Delivery Excellence
· Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, CISOs, and Audit Committees on cybersecurity strategy, governance, and compliance.
· Oversee delivery of cybersecurity assessments, remediation programs, and regulatory compliance engagements (ISO 27001, NIST, SEC Cyber Rules).
· Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
Operational & Financial Management
· Monitor financial performance of the UK cybersecurity practice, including revenue targets, profitability, and forecasting.
· Implement best practices for project governance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
Experience:
· 15+ years in cybersecurity roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
· Proven success in building and scaling cybersecurity practices within consulting or advisory firms.
· Strong understanding of UK and global regulatory frameworks (GDPR, NIS Directive, SEC Cyber Rules).
