As part of our overall marketing efforts, we partner with admired consumer brands to promote our titles and fuel fandom with creative marketing campaigns that drive outsized conversation, creating more ways for fans to connect with the content and IP that they love. Since the launch of Netflix Ads in late 2022, we have continued to innovate our partnership offering, developing new intersectional solutions for brands to get closer to, and integrate with our culture definition content and IP whilst continuing to provide a best-in-class experience to our members and ad tier subscribers.

About The Role

We are looking for a Sponsorships & Solutions Manager for a temporary cover lasting up to 15 months. 

Sponsorship & Solutions sits within the broader Brand Partnerships team and operates at a regional level in EMEA to define, shape and lead the go-to-market approach for current and future-facing sponsorships and title led sales solutions. 

As the Sponsorships Manager, EMEA, you will be tasked with leading the function to identify, develop and deliver innovative sponsorship solutions for advertisers across Netflix's leading films, series and, over time, our growing Live slate. You will own the sponsorship go-to-market strategy, focused on our key Ads markets and manage a team executing this in-region.

This role requires a deep experience and understanding of the sponsorships and entertainment/media landscape as well as how to scale new sponsorship capabilities around IP offerings.  Broadly, this will include: 

  • Building strategic Sponsorship programs across EMEA that are regionally resonant and locally relevant

  • Overseeing the packaging, development of sales collateral and go-to-market approach of Sponsorship opportunities including Single/multi-title Sponsorships and future product/packaging innovation

  • Cross-functional collaboration with global and regional stakeholders 

  • Leading and delivering internally facing presentations, training and education on our Sponsorship proposition  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop the strategic sponsorship offering in EMEA across Netflix IP

  • Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders and teams across Ads, marketing, legal, pricing and packaging and measurement teams to deliver tailored sponsorship go-to-market strategies 

  • Oversee mechanisms to track sales pipeline and pitch-to-play process

  • Collaborate with Ads, marketing & product teams to develop and unlock new capabilities tied to Sponsorships

  • Development of memos, in English, that articulate clear go-to-market strategies and initiative to drive the expansion of Sponsorships in EMEA

  • Work closely with Legal & Ad Policy teams to build scalable practices that grow sponsorship revenue and protect member experience

Key Requirements:

  • 10 or more years in Linear and/or Streaming sponsorships management, and/or Ad Sales account management and partnership teams

  • Proven expertise within the EMEA market, with an understanding of the unique characteristics and opportunities of this region and key markets (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy)

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of  both the traditional linear and evolving streaming/digital video space and media industries  

  • Experience with pricing & packaging sponsorships across linear, on-demand streaming, social, and experiential channels 

  • High performing cross-functional capabilities across marketing, sales, product, legal, measurement, policy and more

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail

  • Understanding of “content-driven” sensitivities related to brand association and endorsement

  • Ability to partner and support sales teams through the sales cycle process
