To provide quality assurance for Securities Clearing Technology, across all its platforms, by the application of testing standards and approaches, and through the direction of test engineers. The Manager for Quality Engineering will also work closely with business collaborators, technology specialists and suppliers to ensure that all aspects of the system development lifecycle are safely and effectively delivered with quality built in.

This is an opportunity for someone with proven, hands on experience leading quality assurance in a relevant domain. Support and training will be provided where required on the specifics of securities clearing and platforms.

LCH (London Clearing House) has a large, multi-year change programme in the SwapClear, RepoClear and EquityClear business lines in terms of improvements and maintenance to its technology platforms. Furthermore, the business is seeking opportunities to harmonise and simplify its operations and supporting systems.

 

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Leads and manages a team of test engineers.
  • Takes ownership for end-to-end testing delivery and activities in alignment with the LSEG’s quality standards and strategy to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified business and customer needs.
  • Ensures that quality assurance is built into all stages of analysis, design, and software delivery.
  • Maintains test plans and approaches that align with standards and technology strategy.
  • Develops an understanding of LSEG's commercial direction and how quality and technology are a part of this.
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external collaborators, grows own network and collaborates with other teams.
  • Communicates complex / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience-appropriate format.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
  • 7+ years in software delivery domain
  • Solid experience of testing processes and methodologies: strategy, plan, design, implement, report and measurement.
  • Good collaborative spirit and skills on effective communication
  • Familiar with agile methodology, especially Scrum, and a good sense of quality ownership and risk assessment
  • Extensive hands-on test management experience in entire software development process, in sophisticated technical environments, delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Solid hands-on experience in at least one programming language, plus a broad experience of current technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation test frameworks, ideally with experience of implementing BDD or other forms of test-driven development.
  • Experience of devops tools (GIT, Jenkins etc.), and an understanding of CICD
  • Experience of public cloud
  • Proven experience in Financial Market Infrastructure space. Experience in clearing of securities domain is an added advantage
