Position Summary:

The Manager will be a key member of the Infrastructure European Portfolio Management team, reporting directly to the Vice President, Portfolio Management. They will work alongside Brookfield’s Operating Partners to partner effectively with our European operating businesses and internal stakeholders to drive performance, generate value, and act as a trusted resource on financial matters. The incumbent is accountable for supporting the Regional CFO in continuing to build a ‘best in class’ finance function and overseeing all finance and reporting matters pertaining to the operating platform.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Communicate both written and orally financial and performance metrics (e.g. margin analysis, debt metrics, liquidity analysis) to key stakeholders including Brookfield senior leadership in order to provide timely, high-quality financial reporting and analysis to enable sound decision-making

  • Oversee and sign-off of on monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A and financial reporting submissions by operating assets supporting management accounts, IFRS, lender and private funds reporting

  • Direct involvement in annual business planning and valuation processes for the European platform, collaborating with operating partners and portfolio companies on strategic plan, and detailed review and data manipulation of complex financial models

  • Track and analyze performance against the financial plan, identifying root cause for variance and establishing action plans as needed to ensure target performance is achieved

  • Lead onboarding and integration of new assets into Brookfield finance and accounting processes including overseeing preparation of opening balance sheets using purchase price accounting ensuring that all internal Brookfield and external SEC requirements are met

  • Review monthly liquidity forecasts including distribution and capital planning and support approval and execution of capital activity

  • Develop a thorough understanding of operating businesses in order to provide insightful reporting to senior management to explain performance and strategic issues in a clear, concise manner

  • Mentor Senior Financial Analyst

  • Prepare specific analysis and special projects to support strategic decision making, often working directly with investment, legal, tax and investor relation teams

  • Frequent communication with the finance leadership of operating businesses and of Brookfield Infrastructure

  • Identification of ways to improve and streamline processes in the context of a growing operating platform

Requirements:

This position offers an opportunity for growth within the Infrastructure team and wider Brookfield Corporation group. To qualify, candidates must have:

  • ACCA or ACA qualification with Big 4 experience and at least 4 years of PQE experience; non-audit (i.e. advisory) experience ideal but not required;

  • Demonstrated ability to lead work products and working collaboratively with stakeholders

  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to and capability to effectively manage priorities and apply a pragmatic and efficient approach to timely handle complex assignments

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, including comfort interacting with senior executives;

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability; willingness to “dive into the details”;

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities;

  • Interest in continuous improvement of our processes and outputs

  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to review and update financial models
