What We Are Looking For:

The Strategic Account Manager will play a key role in achieving Bandwidth’s long-term strategic objectives by owning and developing relationships with some of our largest and most strategic customers. This role is responsible for managing existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities through a consultative and strategic selling approach. You will act as the primary account owner, setting clear expectations, delivering strong customer communication, and presenting CPaaS solutions that meet - and anticipate - customer needs.

Success in this role requires a strong blend of commercial acumen, data efficiency, and industry expertise. You will leverage deep knowledge of the telecoms and CPaaS landscape to analyze revenue performance, spot trends, and provide accurate forecasting and opportunity timelines to senior sales leadership.

This role demands a high degree of autonomy and strategic influence. You will build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders across customer organizations, expand your internal network, and know when to engage executive leadership to progress complex opportunities. Working closely with marketing and cross-functional teams, you will craft compelling talk tracks, negotiate effectively, and develop key partnerships - all while consistently achieving assigned quotas for new revenue growth within your accounts.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the primary owner and trusted advisor for assigned strategic accounts
  • Set clear expectations and deliver confident, proactive communication with customers at every stage
  • Leverage customer insights and data to accurately forecast revenue and provide visibility to senior sales leadership
  • Lead high-impact negotiations and presentations, positioning Bandwidth as a long-term partner
  • Continuously deepen your expertise through ongoing product training and enablement
  • Build and nurture multi-threaded relationships across customer organizations to drive long-term value
  • Expand your internal influence and cross-functional network across the Bandwidth team
  • Identify and develop new market and expansion opportunities for customers using our services
  • Know when and how to engage executive leadership to advance strategic deals
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, strong deal value, and realistic close dates while navigating a competitive landscape
  • Partner closely with Marketing to craft compelling talk tracks using shared insights and regular collaboration
  • Drive revenue growth and key partnerships within your portfolio
  • Consistently achieve and exceed quota through new revenue growth in existing accounts

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of Account Management experience within technology, preferably within telecommunications
  • Experience with Usage based billing/forecasting models
  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
