Job Purpose 

The Manager of Internal Communications is responsible for shaping ABBYY’s employer brand, fostering employee engagement, and driving a cohesive internal communications strategy. This role ensures that ABBYY’s culture, values, and EVP (Employer Value Proposition) are effectively communicated both internally and externally. As a strategic partner to leadership, this individual will advise executives on communication best practices, employer branding initiatives, and workforce engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between HR, Communications, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition.  

Key Responsibilities: 

 Internal Communications & Employee Engagement 

  • Internal Communications Ecosystem: Own and optimize all internal channels (intranet, email, MS Teams, newsletters, videoconferencing, etc.) to ensure clarity, consistency, and engagement
  • CEO & Executive Communications: Partner with leadership to craft messages, town halls, newsletters, and company-wide announcements
  • HR Communications: Partner with HR to drive strategic messaging across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, performance, development, offboarding)
  • Change Management: Partner with the business to support organizational transformation and culture initiatives with clear, empathetic communication
  • Reputation Management: Monitor internal sentiment and address misinformation or concerns proactively
  • Employee Experience: Partner with the business to create programs that foster belonging, recognition, and retention (e.g., awards, milestone celebrations)
  • Internal Events: Partner with leadership, HR and Admin functions to plan global and team meetings, summits, and corporate events (virtual/in-person)

 Employer Branding & Talent Attraction 

  • EVP Development & Activation: Define, refine, and globally promote ABBYY's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to differentiate us in the talent market
  • Reputation Management: Monitor and enhance ABBYY's employer reputation across platforms (Glassdoor, Indeed, social media), addressing feedback and implementing improvement strategies
  • Careers Site & Social Media: Partner with Marketing to optimize ABBYY's careers website, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Instagram and other platforms to attract top talent
  • Recruitment Marketing: Develop targeted campaigns (digital, events, PR) to engage passive and active candidates
  • Recruitment Events: Partner with the business to organize and attend job fairs, industry conferences, and virtual hiring events
  • HR-Led PR Initiatives: Partner with Marketing/PR to showcase ABBYY's workplace culture through media, awards (e.g., Great Place to Work), and employee advocacy
  • TA Enablement: Work closely with Talent Acquisition to provide branding assets, messaging, and training to recruiters

 Qualifications & Skills 

  • Experience: 5+ years in employer branding, internal communications, or HR marketing, preferably in tech/SaaS
  • Strategic & Creative: Ability to translate business goals into compelling narratives for employees and candidates
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Proven success partnering with C-suite, HR, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition
  • Digital & Analytical: Expertise in employer branding platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Glassdoor), CMS tools, and data-driven decision-making
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with distributed teams in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities
  • Language: High proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, HR, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required (or experience in lieu of degree)
