Job Summary

The GLG People Team is seeking a highly motivated, service-oriented and collaborative leader to manage our global HR Support Team located in offices across Asia, Europe and the US. The HR Support team owns the administration and delivery of our day-to-day people processes from onboarding to offboarding and plays a key role in our global payroll processes. The team also provides front-line support to employees and managers by fielding incoming requests and questions.

As the manager of GLG’s HR Support team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, including transaction management, service delivery, training, staffing and will be the primary point of escalation for all HR Support matters. More specifically you will:

  • manage team workload, resourcing and adherence to SLAs
  • own regular audit processes to ensure data integrity
  • monitor quality and accuracy of service delivery and take corrective action as necessary, providing performance and developmental feedback on a regular basis
  • partner with leaders and HR colleagues to address any escalations and respond in a timely manner
  • provide back-up support to the team as needed during busy periods
  • work closely with the Payroll team to ensure that monthly/semi-monthly payrolls are processed accurately and that all required documentation has been submitted
  • keep up-to-date on regulatory changes and ensure that our processes remain compliant with local laws
  • create and maintain process documentation to ensure smooth and consistent operations across the global People Team
  • train the broader team on new systems, functionality or procedures
  • work with the Senior Director, HR Operations to identify operational efficiency improvements by evolving and streamlining our processes and practices
  • partner with the HR Technology team to implement systems enhancements that will improve process management and delivery

As part of the HR Operations leadership team, you will also collaborate on strategic projects focused on improving overall operational efficiency and providing and more positive employee experience.

Working as part of the People Team at GLG will give you the opportunity to:

  • play an active role in shaping the future of people operations at GLG
  • build relationships with a global team of HR professionals
  • work closely with colleagues across functional areas, from Talent Acquisition and Business Partnering, to Operations and Technology.
  • develop your technical proficiency and participate in projects expanding our use of Workday as our Human Capital Management system.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ leadership experience in a HR Support or Shared Services team environment
  • Understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements in the UK, US or other GLG location countries
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience defining and/or refining procedures
  • Experience using Workday to manage employee lifecycle processes is a plus
