Job Description:
Ipsen is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to innovation and ethical business practices. As part of its commitment to integrity and compliance, the Manager, Global Business Ethics Programs plays a key role in leading the operations of Business Ethics programs, with a focus on Education, Training, Communication, and Conflict of Interest. This role includes developing and updating written standards (Policies and SOPs), creating and implementing eLearning training content, managing training curricula, executing communication plans, and overseeing the conflict of interest process and system. Additionally, the position involves monitoring and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with international compliance standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Business Ethics Program Management: Manage and maintain the global Business Ethics education, training, and communications programs to ensure compliance with international codes, legal requirements, and industry best practices. Develop strategy for the programs with support from Senior Leader. Lead continuous improvement through industry best practices and employee feedback. Serve as the primary contact for the programs, responding to queries from employees and the Business Ethics team across the organization. Communicate and collaborate with the Business Ethics team on the status of the program. Manage vendors and consultants supporting the business ethics program. Actively participate as a member of the Global Business Ethics team. Support the Data Privacy team as the Data Privacy Champion for the Business Ethics team
- Business Ethics Education & Training Program: Develop, maintain, and update Business Ethics written standards to support compliance with international laws and pharma codes. Manage the written standards repository (Easidoc-Veeva). Manage translations of the written standards. Update and maintain the Global MyIpsen Business Ethics intranet page. Develop and update Business Ethics eLearning content and deliver trainings. Manage the training infrastructure in Ipsen’s Learning Management System. Manage Third Party Program training assignments and training reports
- Business Ethics Communication Program: Develop and implement the annual communications plan to support Business Ethics programs. Secure communication slots through the Integrated Communication Channel portal by submitting campaign requests. Create and manage content including emails, screen savers, intranet and internet posts, working collaboratively with the Communications team. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts
- Conflict of Interest Program: Manage the conflict of interest (COI) process and system (Salesforce.com) across all global functions and countries. Support users in understanding the COI process and system. Serve as a contact point to assess and resolve potential issues/challenges arising from the COI process and system
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of written standards, training, and communications. Develop analytics to support continuous improvement and management programs. Prepare and present updates/insights/metrics on written standards, training, communication, and COIs. Prepare and deliver periodic reports for senior management to support informed decision-making and risk assessment
Knowledge & Experience Required
We are looking for an experienced professional in ethics and compliance within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry (5 to 8 years of experience), with excellent communication and project management skills. Capable of understanding business strategies, identifying and managing ethical and compliance risks, while promoting effective solutions. Strong team player, able to work in a multicultural environment and coordinate initiatives at a regional or global level without direct hierarchical authority. Advanced proficiency in data analysis, web-based technologies, and various software systems (SAP, Veeva, Cornerstone, iSpring). Expertise in regulations, including IFPMA and EFPIA codes, and training development. Holds a university degree, with excellent English proficiency; French is an asset.
